Rapid inspection is the next generation of inspection technology. It is emerging as a necessity for any manufacturing part or device.
At AcuSurf, we begin this process by conducting a Full Geometry Inspection (FGI) of first article parts and/or assemblies to create a precise 3D picture of the manufactured product. This procedure is also known as Computer Aided Verification (CAV).
Once AcuSurf creates this image, we can compare this new 3D picture to the perfect representation (CAD model) of the product. As a result, any areas that do not meet the specification of the CAD model will be flagged and documented in a report for you, our customer, to review.
